Meet Kiyo and Toka. We are hiking fools! The pups have both earned the Dog Scouts of America 2,000 mile pack dog AND 2,000 mile trail dog titles. And we keep hiking…We're putting our training to a great cause - Whisker Walking!
We will be Whisker Walking on 6/4/23 to support the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming efforts of Big East Akita Rescue. Kiyo grew up with rescues. When she moved in as an 8 week old puppy, our rescues Nikka & Maxx took her under their paws and taught her manners. She was also BFF's with Maxx, the much loved B.E.A.R. rescue who moved here and enjoyed life to the fullest.
In turn, she's been a great role model & tutor for Toka. Both Kiyo and Toka have flourished in a household where they get to enjoy sports ranging from Fast CATS to hiking to barn hunt to obedience to nose work.
Now it's time to pass it forward. Please help us help other Akitas, those who are in need.
