Hi,

My name is Panda.

I am a 3 year old female BEAR Rescue that was abandoned underneath a bridge near the Delaware River and left to fend for myself for close to 2 months. I was infested with ticks and other parasites. I'm aslo missing a toe. I managed to maintain my body weight by eating whatever I could find or catch. Luckily animal control captured me and I was sent to Big East Akita Rescue.
 
Since then, things have really changed. I was adopted in less than 24 hours after arriving in New Jersey. Once my new humans heard my story they fell in love and took me home. They take me on hikes, car rides, trips to Home Depot , beauty supply stores and even some local breweries. I'm pretty sure I have the best parents ever. Oh and this year, they are taking me camping !
 
This is my first Whisker Walk and I'm walking in memory of my parent's past 2 Akita's, Bonzai and Shyla, who were also rescued by BEAR. I'm got some pretty big paw prints to fill but I sure am going to try!
 
Please help out other Akitas that need homes and help me reach my goal for Big East Akita Rescue. Without rescue, a lot of us would not get a second chance.
