I’m Siyah and this here handsome devil who is always with me is my brother Orion. We may not be rescues but we understand all too well why rescues like BEAR are needed.

Our Dad saved us from something called a BYB now I am not sure what that means but to me it was eating bad food and not enough of it and being taken from my mom way too soon. My Dad saved me from this very bad place when I was just a baby puppy and gave me the BEST home ever…and then he saw this BYB doing it AGAIN treating pups poorly and selling them from their Mom – MY mom - before they even got to know her. Well my dad wasn’t going to let THAT happen, so that’s when my brother came home.

Now Dad calls me pumpkin butt – and I don’t mind, but can anyone tell me what a pumpkin is?? My brother Orion, aka Bubba and I sure do have a great life – all the toilet paper rolls that anyone could hope to eat! LOTS of great food – my dad makes a great smoked pork butt and he shares it with us!

We have our own kiddie pool to splash in and don’t tell dad but we drink out of it too and when we are done with that we get to go a ridin’ with Dad in his truck – I like to stand with my head out the window so I can catch ALL the smells.

Even with our happy life we KNOW it could have gone really bad for us like it has for so many other akitas not lucky enough to find a dad like ours! So we are walking in our first Whisker Walk to help BEAR give akitas without Moms or Dads find a family who loves them like our does.
